Nintendo Direct – An overview of all announcements

New fighters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

As announced in advance, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was also part of Nintendo Direct. A crossover with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been confirmed. So you can soon play the characters Pyra and Mythra in the Brawler.

Mario Golf is coming to the Switch

It has long been rumored that a new Mario sports game is coming. During the Direct, a new Mario Golf offshoot was announced for the Switch, which not only comes with a story mode, but also with a competitive speed golf mode for up to four players.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Announced

The crazy multiplayer shooter PvZ: Battle for Neighborville is also coming to the Switch two years after its release for PS4, Xbox One and PC – in a complete edition

Animal Crossing is getting Super Mario Bros. crossover

For Animal Crossing fans, the announcement should not come as a surprise, there was already a first teaser for the event. But now we have seen the first pictures from the crossover that brings Mario items into the game.

When does it start: The update will be available on February 25th. The Mario items, on the other hand, can only be ordered from March 1st in the Nook Shopping catalog.

Project Triangle Strategy, the new game from the Octopath makers

What a surprise. The makers of Octopath Traveler unveil their new tactical RPG, which you can now allude to in a first demo. However, the name is still a working title. The distinctive graphic style was immediately visible in the first trailer.

Zelda: Skyward Sword gets HD port

Contrary to expectations, there will be no Zelda collection for the Switch for its 35th birthday and there was also no new information about Breath of the Wild 2, but in a few weeks we will get an HD port from Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Switch. In addition to a slightly revised graphic, the focus was on movement control via Joy-Con, which makes the combat system more active.

Splatoon 3 announced

Another big surprise was the announcement of Splatoon 3. There was a first trailer of the competitive ink shooter, but there was little gameplay to be seen.
